Leading actor of Pakistani film and TV industry Yasir Hussain says that he has no problem with the nation-wide famous Turkish series ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’.
A different video clip of Yasir Hussain, who has been making controversial statements on social media against the series and the state-run TV channel, has gone viral on the internet since the broadcast of ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ in Pakistan.
The video clip is of a private TV channel show in which Yasir Hussain had participated in the last few days.
It can be seen in the video that when the host of the show asked Yasir Hussain about ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’, he replied saying that he has no issues with Ertugrul Ghazi.
Yasir Hussain said, “If I have a problem, it is from our state TV channel because I want us to make dramas based on Islamic history instead of foreign content and then broadcast it on our state TV channel.”
“We have more technology now than ever before, we have better cameras, we have more content,” he said.
“When we have everything from the camera to the actor, it is important for us to produce dramas like ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ ourselves,” he said.
Giving an example from the past, Yasir Hussain said, “Technology was not modern in the TV programs that used to come in the past, but today we have more technological resources.”
The actor added, “We never thought that we would do our own programs on such modern sets, so if that can be done, we can also make plays like Ertugrul Ghazi.”
The series based on Islamic conquests ‘ Diriliş: Ertuğrul’ had been dubbed in Urdu language on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan and is being aired on state TV under the name ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ since the first of Ramadan last year.
