The conservatorship case of Britney Spears has taken a new turn, with judge Brenda Penny reportedly receiving death threats for her ‘handling’ of the singer’s case.

Authorities have been keeping a close eye on potential threats. Penny has gotten enough death threats online, according to the publication, that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is concerned.

According to reports, police are monitoring threats made against the judge following her recent decision to deny Spears’ new lawyer Mathew S Rosengart’s plea to expedite a hearing regarding the role of the 39-year-father old’s Jamie.

Due to the judge’s recent rejection to move the case early, Jamie’s probable suspension as Britney’s conservator will be heard on September 29.

Earlier, Britney Spears has spoken out about her conservatorship struggle, revealing that her fans are only aware of half of the drama.

The Toxic singer shared a GIF of a fan flying a pink “Free Britney” flag outside their home on Instagram.

Along with the photo, Spears wrote: “Geez look at that flag!!!! I was like ‘My flag up over the American Flag !?!?’ … Yes … I’m tooting my own horn…is that bad?”

“I know in my previous post I said you guys know my situation but LET ME CLARIFY … you only know half of it !!!! And for a lot of you who say I should be cautious with what I post … I mean if you REALLY THINK ABOUT IT … with what I’ve been through I believe I been WAAAY TOO CAUTIOUS !!!! One day I will live on the edge !!!! One day,” she shared.
