Esra Bilgiç appeals for prayers for forest fires in Turkey

Esra Bilgic, who portrays Halime Sultan in the historical drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul, has voiced her “indescribable sadness” and concern over the recent forest fires in Turkey.

Thousands of firemen battled massive blazes spreading throughout the Mediterranean vacation regions of Turkey’s southern coast on Thursday, killing four people and injuring more than 180.

Earlier, Esra rushed to Twitter to express her anguish, writing in Turkish “I am in indescribable sadness. We are not prepared for any disaster.”“Why did you leave the forest entry bans to today? Why can’t we take action against anything?” Esra said after authorities banned entry to forests in İzmir and Balıkesir amid fires across Turkey.

The Turkish actress took to her Twitter handle again, expressing concern for the animals suffering in the Turkey forest fires.

Sharing the picture(s) of the fire, the actress wrote, “Animals are in fire. Nature is in fire. Need Your Prayers”

An inquiry has already begun, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Esra Bilgiç is a Turkish actress. She is best known for portraying the role of Halime Hatun in the Turkish historical adventure television series Diriliş: Ertuğrul from 2014 to 2018. As of 2020, she is the leading actress in the crime drama series Ramo.
