Leading Pakistani singer and social activist Shehzad Roy has announced a new plan to provide girls with higher education and employment opportunities.
Under the scheme, a four-year B.Ed course will be provided free of cost to girls appearing for entrance exams.
He said that teacher training would be imparted to girls at Government Elementary College of Education Hussainabad in Karachi. The Teachers Training Institute is equipped with the requirements of modern times.
The singer said that after B.Ed, girls will also get employment opportunities in this field, the cost of which will be borne by Shehzad Roy’s NGO.
Applications for B.Ed education at the Teacher Training Institute must be submitted by August 25.
