Currency smuggling case
It should be noted that model Ayyan Ali was detained at Benazir Bhutto Airport on March 14, 2015, on her way from Islamabad to Dubai and $500,000 was recovered from her.
Later, a case of currency smuggling was registered against the model, for which she was jailed and her name was also included in the Exit Control List (ECL).
However, after Ayyan Ali’s name was removed from the ECL, she went abroad and there were several trials in which she was absent.
She was named as accused in the murder case of Customs Inspector Ijaz Chaudhry.
The wife of slain inspector Ijaz Chaudhry has filed a petition in a Rawalpindi court, alleging that Ayyan Ali was involved in the murder of a customs inspector.
She said that model Ayyan Ali benefited the most from the murder of customs officer Ijaz Chaudhry, so she should be investigated in this case.
Rawalpindi resident customs officer Ijaz Chaudhry was killed while resisting a robbery.
Ever since model Ayyan Ali’s case came to light, she has been linked to political bigwigs. PPP political leaders have also been at the forefront in advocating for Ayyan Ali, which has further strengthened the tales.
PPP leader Latif Khosa has taken up Ayyan Ali’s case due to which she is associated with PPP.
