Dwayne Johnson, better known by his stage moniker The Rock, expressed his condolences on the death of The Wire star Michael K. Williams, who was discovered dead in his New York apartment.
With a sorrowful message, the Jungle Cruise actor shared a flashback photo of the fellow Hollywood star on Instagram.
“You’ll be missed, brother,” he wrote.

“It’s been a genuine joy working with you and calling you a friend. Dwayne Johnson went on to say, “Strength, mana, and love to your family through this incredibly difficult and terrible time.”
He concluded, “Go rest high.”
Michael, who starred as Omar Little in the HBO drama The Wire, was discovered dead in a New York City residence on Monday, according to police. He was 54 years old at the time.
Although no official cause of death was stated, multiple US media outlets reported that law enforcement officials suspected a possible drug overdose.
He was well renowned for his portrayal as Albert “Chalky” White in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.”
