Adele: “A vocal for the ages”
The wait is over for daydreamers. After a six year long hiatus,...
Adele’s reaction to an open mic competition with fellow musician Ed Sheeran was amusing.
During a Heart radio interview, host Jamie Theakston disclosed to Adele that Sheeran has an album “coming out at the same time.”
Adele, surprised, inquired, “On the 19th?”
“Well, not on the 19th, yeah, don’t panic,” Theakston remarked.
Adele responded with a grin, “I ain’t panicking, he can panic.”
Theakston and co-host Amanda Holden both laughed, with Holden adding, “She’s going to smash it.”
In a separate interview with host Zoe Ball, Adele stated that her album 30 was “bloody hard work” to create.
“I would sing things I didn’t even realise I was feeling or thinking,” she stated.
“I can’t unlock a door for my mental health and take the key with me; I’ve got to leave it in the door for everyone else and I’m in a strong place now where I feel like I can put that vulnerability out.”
Ball responded, “Just you sharing a bit about the experience that you’ve been through will help so many other people.”
