While giving an interview to a Pakistani magazine, Asad discussed his childhood dream of becoming an actor, his rise from a wedding photographer to the Director of Photography, and his work in the drama serials like Daam and Alif.

He also went into great detail to let his audience know about how he got the chance to play the role of Guru in Parizaad while also sharing other details.

It’s unusual for an actor to make his acting debut in a supporting role but still manage to establish a large fan base, as Asad Mumtaz Malik has done in the presently aired drama Parizaad.

Guru has become everyone’s favorite right after his appearance in the drama serial ‘Parizaad’. What’s more unusual is that Asad told that he has been in the industry for nearly two decades and was only recently discovered as an artist/performer.

Despite the fact that Asad always wanted to be an actor, he admitted that he did not immediately accept the first project that came his way. “It took a week for me to say yes to Parizaad,” he explained. “I couldn’t stop thinking. I talked about it with my wife and kids.”

Asad went on to say that he was nervous in front of the camera. “I was shy. Everyone is terrified of facing the camera for the first time, and it was the same case with me too.”

“Since I had such a long experience of around 25 years behind the camera, I knew I could pull it off,” he added, “but there is always a little hesitation involved.”

Asad went on to say that Guru was a difficult character to play, which is what drew him to the project. “Getting such a difficult character for your debut is a gift for any actor.”
