Vanessa Bryant sat down recently to remember the moment she learned of her husband Kobe’s and daughter Gianna’s deaths in a helicopter crash.

The whole description of the incident, as well as Vanessa’s reaction, was given to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and E-News only recently obtained it!

Vanessa’s Zoom transcript began with her family assistant rushing to her house at 11:30 a.m., according to their results.

Vanessa was told at the time that five of the nine helicopter passengers had survived, but she had no way of knowing who they were.

She then tried contacting Kobe’s phone but got no answer, so she contacted her mom to “spot me with the littles” so she could get answers.

“As soon as I was on the phone with my mom, I was holding onto my phone, because obviously, I was trying to call my husband back,” Vanessa remembers.

But then, “all these notifications started popping up on my phone, saying ‘RIP Kobe. RIP Kobe. RIP Kobe.'”

Rob Pelinka, the Lakers’ general manager, finally took her and Natalia to the Malibu police station in the teenager’s car.

When they arrived at 1:30 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva briefed her on the situation.

Vanessa approached the local police station once the immediate shock went off, “If you can’t bring my husband and baby back, please make sure no one takes photographs of them. Please secure the area.”
