A veteran director and producer Wajahat Rauf is all set to release his fourth film Parde Mein Rehne Do. Starring Ali Rehman and Hania Aamir the film spins around a social issue.

“We started the film’s shoot in March 2020 but we had to shut down due to COVID-19 and could not resume because of the uncertainty. When we resumed, we had to complete a whole process of checking on every actor; hair colour, weight, hair length too so we don’t have to wait for months to bring them in the shape of the character. It was very challenging.” Wajahat Rauf told BOL.

“We were planning to launch the movie on Eid ul Fitr or Eid ul Adha since there were chances that the cinemas will be reopened but that didn’t happen. Then we waited for 007 to launch so we could launch along with it but that too couldn’t happen. We are still waiting for the cinemas to re-open.”

Asking about the details of the movie, the producer said that this time they have something different for viewers, unlike loaded wedding films. “Mohsin Ali has picked a social issue and it’s a light comedy. When a message is conveyed humorously then people enjoy it.”

Since viewers and critics keep a sharp eye on the content being produced and watched, there are high chances of any film or drama getting bashed. Here, Rauf is pretty sure about the fact that the content is clean and brilliantly managed.

“We have tackled it very carefully since there is a thin line which we don’t intend to cross. Especially when a social issue is discussed. We took care of the fact that no one’s sentiments should get hurt and it should remain on the lighter side.”

Rauf is producing the movie alongside Shazia Wajahat. The project wrapped filming in February 2021 and the trailer is expected to be out in the month of November.
