Hassan Ali’s wife Samiya Arzoo clarifies she’s not on Twitter after tweets go viral

After an intense semi-final between Australia and Pakistan, Pakistan lost by 5 wickets and some cricket buffs have been blaming Hassan Ali for it.

Hassan Ali had dropped Wade’s catch off a Shaheen Afridi delivery, which caused many fans to lash out at the cricketer on social media. A Twitter account with the handle @Samiyarzoo that claims to be Hassan Ali’s wife, posted a series of tweets claiming that she and her husband and daughter are being sent threats after the match.

The user also tagged PM Imran Khan and PCB to take action against the bullies.

The series of tweets caused quite the stir, especially on Indian social media as they mocked Pakistanis for being bitter over the loss. The tweets went viral on all social media platforms and sick of the re-sharing without verifying, Samiya took to her Instagram stories to share that she does not have a twitter account and neither has she or her family been getting any threats.

She continued to say that if anything, she’s only been getting support from Pakistanis and asked her followers to report the account. She also urged fans to not believe everything they see on the internet.
