‘Irrfan was a great soul’, says Amitabh Bachchan to Irrfan Khan’s son

Amitabh Bachchan has written an emotional letter to Babil Khan, the son of late actor Irrfan Khan.

In a message to Babil, the Jhund actor said that the lovely link of friendship transcends death.

Irrfan’s kid posted the message on his Instagram account with loving emoticons, addressing him as ‘My dear Babil.’

Babil’s ‘warm personal note’ prompted the 79-year-old megastar to begin his letter by thanking him.

“Life is transient and death is unfathomable, but ‘Friendship’ transcends death,” Amitabh wrote in the heartfelt letter.

He went on writing: “Memories made, create a lasting impression on those left behind, and will never be forgotten. Each time we are reminded of a loved one through a phrase, a joke, an action. These are the things that will keep us close despite death.”

In a tribute to the late actor with whom he co-starred in Piku, Amitabh added, “Your father Irrfan was a great soul and everyone whose lives he touched, are better for having known him. He is missed dearly.”

He ended the letter by wishing Irrfan’s late wife and other son, Ayaan, well.
