According to one critic, Kate and Prince William modified their media approach after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex demonstrated that they were “gaining soft power.”

Meghan and Prince Harry, according to Eric Schiffer, a reputation management specialist, are effectively engaging “at an emotional and value level” with young people all around the world by promoting topics that are important to them, such as equality and the environment.

He went on to say that they’re “gaining soft power.”

He went on to say: “It has definitely prompted William and Catherine to seek out new ways to connect, to show more of their humanity, and to become more involved in ways that reflect their values coinciding with those of young people not only in the United Kingdom but throughout the globe.

“They are stealing a page back from Meghan and Harry’s playbook, and it is being successful in the UK.”
