Rita Moreno talks about freedom of speech at the 33rd annual Producers Guild Awards

Rita Moreno was honoured with the Stanley Kramer Award at the 33rd annual Producers Guild Awards on Sunday. The 90-year-old actress took advantage of the opportunity to speak out on behalf of all actors. In order to voice our their right to express their political beliefs.

Moreno said in her speech that 60 years in show business have given her the courage and enthusiasm to stand up for what she believed in. As well as “advocating for causes of social justice.” Moreno went on to say that, she is not a religious person, however, film has been her sacred scripture.
