Tristan Thompson isn’t going to let his past haunt him in the future. The Chicago Bulls player, who has been in the news for his constant infidelity in his now-former relationship with Khloé Kardashian, posted a cryptic comment to his Instagram Story on Wednesday about not feeling terrible about the past.

“Let the past guide you rather, than making you feel guilty,” the post began. “Let the future excite you, rather than making you feel anxious.

“Let the present be a gift to you to feel alive, rather than a curse that makes you live in the past or future.”

It’s unknown what sparked Thompson’s Khloé-style post, but he was in the news again last week after records from his paternity dispute with Maralee Nichols were published. Thompson allegedly sent text messages to Nichols claiming he was engaged to the Good American co-founder, according to the records.

In light of the fact that he welcomed a child with Nichols while initially denying it, Kardashian, 37, has completely separated himself from Thompson, 31, save for co-parenting interactions regarding their 3-year-old daughter, True.

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” he wrote in an Instagram statement of admission after a paternity test provided its results. “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”

The athlete went on to say that his actions “certainly have not lined up” with his personal view of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum.

“I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think,” he added. “Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Thompson is also dad to 5-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig.
