
With adaptations of ‘Seconds,’ Blake Lively is ready to make her directorial debut
According to The Hollywood Reporter, American actress Blake Lively will make her feature directing debut with Seconds, an adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s comic novel.
O’Malley also developed the source material for Edgar Wright’s 2010 picture Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Wright wrote the screenplay and will help produce Lively’s Seconds, according to the site
The author also shared the good news on his Instagram account. “Let’s GO,” he captioned a series of screenshots of the news.
The latest project from the Gossip Girl alum will be produced by Searchlight Pictures.
Lively has previously worked as a director, co-writing and directing Taylor Swift’s I Bet You Think About Me music video in November 2021.
Seconds is a 2014 novel about Katie Clay, who is able to redo her mistakes by writing them down in a notebook, eating a mushroom, and sleeping. THR claimed that when she begins to change her life little by little, she finds that the environment she’s created for herself is a long way from her original route.
