Harry Styles performs with Shania Twain at Coachella and premieres new songs

On Friday, Harry Styles rocked Coachella with a headline concert and a special appearance by Shania Twain that wowed fans and festival-goers alike.

Styles was the main act on the opening night of the California music festival, with a programme that included two new songs from the Watermelon Sugar singer, as well as a surprise cameo on stage from Shania Twain.

The former One Direction star, who admits to being a tremendous fan of Twain, gave her a special shoutout on stage, saying, “Now I have to tell you, this lady taught me to sing in the vehicle with my mum as a youngster.”

He went on to say, “She also taught me that guys are garbage, but for the memories you provided me with my mother, I will be eternally thankful,” before joining Twain on stage and performing her popular songs including Man! I Feel Like a Woman and You’re Still the One.

“I’m lost for words, I’m a bit star-struck when I was writing this song, you were only a kid, so it’s kind of a dream and really weird to be sitting right here now, singing this song with you,” Twain said of performing with Styles.

The Fine Lines singer kicked off the night with his new track As It Was before launching into the rest of the set, which featured favourites like Watermelon Sugar, Adore You, Woman, and Carolina.

He also played Boyfriends and Late Night Talking, two songs from his upcoming album Harry’s House.

Styles’ fans may have been taken aback when he played his One Direction megahit What Makes You Beautiful.
