After news circulated that BTS’ Jimin’s residence was taken owing to unpaid health insurance fees, Big Hit Music broke their silence to address fans’ worries.

The K-pop idol’s condominium in Seoul, which he bought for $4.7 million in May of last year, was temporarily confiscated by the National Health Insurance Service on January 25, according to sources on April 22.

In response to the rumours, the septet’s label issued a lengthy statement apologising for its’mistake.’

“The company is the first to receive all mail that arrives at the artists’ dorms, and a portion of the letter was omitted by mistake in the process of forwarding it to the artist,” Big Hit Music said on April 22.

“Jimin was ignorant of items such as [his premiums] becoming late owing to his activities overseas beginning at the end of last year, his lengthy time of relaxation, and his scheduled activities abroad after that,” the statement stated.

“He paid the arrears in full as soon as he found out, and the matter is now fixed.”

“We regret for causing the artist and fans anxiety as a result of our company’s irresponsibility,” it continued.
