Lara Trump slams Will Smith for slapping Chris, calls him a ‘hypocritical figure’

Will Smith ‘got away’ with slapping Chris Rock because he’s a hypocrite ‘Hollywood celebrity,’ according to Lara Trump, an American television producer married to Donald Trump’s son Eric.

‘Any regular person’ would be in jail if they acted like Smith did, according to Smith’s daughter-in-law, who said: ‘It tells you that when you are a Hollywood celebrity, and this is basically what people took from this, you can get away with anything.’

‘If any average person did that they would be in jail, they’d be locked up,’ Lara Trump said during her FOX Business segment on Friday. She added: ‘They would have at least been arrested or questioned by the police at this point.’

During the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday, Smith marched onto the stage and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Pinkett Smith’s buzzcut, which she has embraced in the wake of her alopecia diagnosis, was the target of Rock’s wisecrack.

Lara Trump commented on the startling Oscars event, claiming that Will Smith got away with hitting Chris Rock because he is a “Hollywood star.”
