Will Smith reacts to Oscars banning him for 10 years

The Oscars announced on April 8 that Will Smith will be banned for participating in the show, for the next 10 years. The behavior of the actor from “I am legend,” has forced the consequence.

The organization is disappointed with the move, and regards his behavior. “unacceptable and harmful.” On *8th April, the academy members announced that Smith will not take part in any program or show conducted by the organization, be it physical or virtual.

It says that the latest ruling, “is a step toward a larger goal of protecting the safety of our performers and guests, and restoring trust in the Academy.”

In response, Smith says that he accepts and respects the Academy’s decision.

He apologized to the academy and stated, “Art imitates life, I look like the crazy father,” describing his role in the movie.

He also wrote a statement on his social media account, apologizing Chris Rock, specifically, “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive,” he wrote. “Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.”

“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”
