Dushman, a show produced by PTV in collaboration with Mont Blanc Entertainment, is reminiscent of the golden age of drama. The drama, which was kept so secret that even the title remained a mystery until the end, is a thrilling, exciting venture that is sure to keep audiences hooked and on the edge of their seats.
The project, directed by Abdullah Badini of ‘Ik Thi Rania’ and written by Ali Moeen of Jo Bichar Gaye, was shot in Bahawalpur and features a story centred on a feudal system, inundated with themes of vengeance, and promises intensity.
Nadia Afgan, Saman Ansari, Hassan Niazi, Mohsin Gillani, Mohammed Ayub Khosa, Nayyer Ejaz, Sabeeka Imam, Subhan Awam, Rose Mohammed, and Hadi Bin Arshad are among the cast members. It is also the final acting project of late actress Naila Jaffri, who died last year while battling cancer.
A schism is brewing between two powerful women, with murder, a desire for authority, and a desire to maintain power driving the central plot. Dushman is shaping up to be a thoroughly entertaining watch, filled with action, conspiracy, and just the right amount of drama.
Without giving too much away, it is safe to say that the PTV and Mont Blanc Entertainment project does not disappoint in terms of performance. One cannot simply rely on a review of this tight-knit and powerful project; one must, at all costs, witness the glory of the show that, at times, appears to be a film. The outstanding cast delivers fully, leaving one in awe of the grandeur of the experience.
This could be interpreted as a revival of PTV, and what a revival it is. Mont Blanc Entertainment, in collaboration with the team and cast, does justice to the concept of revival, producing a drama that is difficult to put down, enthralling viewers and leaving them wanting more.
