The Ellen DeGeneres Show, a popular talk show hosted by comedian Ellen DeGeneres, is set to end.
The show’s finale is set to air on May 26, and Ellen became emotional as she spoke about the show’s conclusion after 19 years.
Ellen took a trip down memory lane in a video shared on social media, admitting that she’s a ’emotional mess’ as the show’s finale approaches.
She also spoke with a member of her team, Mary, and recalled that she did not have children when the show first began and was now seated with her two daughters.
Ellen revealed that she never expected The Ellen DeGeneres Show to run for 19 years, calling it “one hell of a ride.”
“I was not going to cry today. “Everyone keeps asking how I’m doing, and some days I’m really good, and other days I’m an emotional mess,” she explained.
“It just made me emotional because everyone’s families are coming on the last day.” And everyone’s children will be present. Because we’re all saying our final goodbyes. It’s been an incredible journey. I never imagined it would last 19 years. We never imagined we’d be able to do everything we’ve done and help so many people “She continued.
