Harry Styles acknowledged to having misunderstandings about therapy, adding that he “thought it meant you were broken.”
Harry Styles said that going to therapy has made him feel “more alive” than he has in the past. The singer admitted that he had previously avoided talking to doctors about his mental health but now feels lot better for doing so.
Going to counselling “meant you were broken,” the 28-year-old Watermelon Sugar hitmaker recently told Better Homes & Gardens. However, the former One Direction singer claims that arranging his first therapy appointment five years ago made him less fearful of tackling his mental health difficulties. According to Page Six, he told Better Homes & Gardens, “I thought it meant that you were broken.” “I wanted to be the one who could say to claim I didn’t need it.”
According to Page Six, the singer was advised to “give so much away” in order to be recognised during his post-X-Factor days. While in One Direction, Harry told the publication that he was frightened to say anything wrong in interviews. He revealed that their contracts contained ‘cleanliness provisions,’ which stated that if he did anything ‘unsavoury,’ they would be null and void, which scared him.
