Harrison Ford will star in the fifth instalment of Indiana Jones, which will be released in theatres on June 30, 2023. According to Deadline, the actor made the news at the Lucasfilm panel at Star Wars Celebration.
He assured the audience that the picture was virtually finished and that John Williams’ music will be used again. Before Ford was presented, Williams attended the event to command a full orchestra in his Indiana Jones theme, according to Deadline.
James Mangold is directing Indiana Jones 5 with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, taking over from Steven Spielberg. Mangold is also collaborating on the screenplay. So yet, no story details have been provided. Ford, Mangold, Kathleen Kennedy, and Frank Marshall, together with executive producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, did, however, present the first image from the film.
The picture was scheduled to be released on July 10, 2020, and then again on July 29, 2022, but pandemic delays and Spielberg’s work on West Side Story put the project on hold.
Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, and Toby Jones are among the cast members. Producers include Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel.
