The first full-length trailer for Anthony and Joe Russo’s highly anticipated spy thriller ‘The Gray Man,’ starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, was released on Tuesday.

The teaser teases all of the action that will take place when the film is released on July 22. With credits that include ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ the director-duo brings on some superhero-style action sequences staged in iconic locales throughout the world.

“If you want to build an omelette, you’ve got to murder some people,” Evans, who portrays Lloyd Hansen, a former CIA collaborator, says as he dispatches his men to track down and assassinate Gosling’s Court Gentry, aka Sierra Six, by air, land, and sea.

Indian actor Dhanush also appears in the teaser, and his blink-and-you-miss-it presence carries enough impact. The actor’s role, dubbed ‘Lethal Force’ in his character image, has remained mostly unknown, although it will undoubtedly be significant.

The film is based on Mark Greaney’s novel of the same name, which cost over $200 million to make. According to the official movie synopsis, “The Gray Man’ is CIA operative Court Gentry, aka, Sierra Six played by Gosling. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen played by Chris Evans, a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out.”

While on the run, Gosling’s Gentry meets Agent Dani Miranda, played by Ana de Armas, who becomes a type of ally and always has his back.

Joe Russo, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely wrote the script for the picture, which also stars Regé-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, and Alfre Woodard.
