Kevin Bacon took to his social media account to pay tribute to his Tremors co-star, Fred Ward, who died on Sunday at the age of 79.

Bacon tweeted a memorable image from their 1990s hit film, “So sad to hear about Fred Ward.” I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in the fight against underground worms.”

“I will always remember chatting about his love of Django Reinhardt and jazz guitar during our long, hot days in the high desert,” he continued. Fred, rest in peace.”

While co-starring in the 1990 classic, the two formed an unlikely friendship.

Previously, in an interview with Esquire, the Footloose actor stated that Tremors was the only film to which he was interested in doing a sequel.

“I wanted to revisit that character in one of my films.” “I don’t look back,” he told the magazine in May.

Meanwhile, Ward’s representative, Ron Hofmann, stated that the cause of death would not be disclosed at this time.
