- Gisele Bundchen has revealed that she suffered from panic attacks in her early 20s.
- The 41-year-old says an unhealthy diet of coffee, alcohol, and cigarettes affected her mental health.
- After hitting “rock bottom,” she was downing a bottle of wine every night.
As Gisele Bundchen said, “From the outside it looked as if I had everything and I was 22 years old. On the inside, I felt as if I’d hit rock bottom.”
She further shared, “I was starting my day with a mocha Frappuccino with whipped cream and three cigarettes, then drinking a bottle of wine every night,” added, “Imagine what that was doing to my mind.”

Bundchen was sent to a naturopath after she reached her breaking point, who assisted her in detoxing and turning her life around. She gave up coffee, alcohol, and cigarettes in favor of a diet rich in vegetables, nuts, and lean meat in modest amounts.
The model revealed that the rigorous schedule gave her awful headaches, but that after three months, her problems went away and she began to feel better.
She said, “The doctor a I remember him saying, ‘Well do you want to live? It was that simple.”

Gisele has maintained a healthy lifestyle since finishing the detox programme, and she now credits a nutritious diet, meditation, and exercise for keeping her on track.
She added: “I think I feel better in my forties than I did in my twenties and not just physically, because we’re all told that life is over at 40 and feel like I’m just beginning.”
