Madame Web, an old woman with myasthenia gravis, a muscle-weakening ailment, will be the central character in the film.
According to Deadline, the figure – who is hooked to a life-support system that looks like a spider web – never actually fought any adversaries in the comic books, so the film might be completely different from the fiction.
Madame Web has already been compared to Sony’s Doctor Strange, although there are currently no information concerning Isabela’s role in the picture.
Isabela previously appeared in the horror film ‘Sweet Girl’ starring Jason Momoa, and she revealed that she trained in Muay Thai and MMA for the role.
“Oh, that was really fun,” Isabela said about her role in the Netflix film.
“I was really competitive as a kid, with my brothers. I have two brothers, and my dad seemed to like children being athletic, so I felt like I had to be. I had to be the best at everything. As a middle child, I had to excel at everything. So, we did a bit of jujitsu growing up, and I think that’s kind of how I picked it up fast. I’m assuming, I don’t know.
“But it was a lot of fun because I can apply it to my real life.”
