On Sunday night, he was joined by his musician friend Jeff Beck, 77, and about 20 other members of his entourage as they took over the Varanasi eatery.

The party started at 7 p.m. and ended about 12 a.m., during which time the facility was closed to other customers.

They were served shish kebabs as well as chicken tikka and tandoori king prawns as appetisers.

Butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, lamb karahi, and king prawn bhuna were among the main courses loved.

All of the dishes were served with nans, rice, and salad.

According to reports, Depp completed his meal with panna cotta and cheesecake rather than a traditional Indian dessert.

They drank rosé champagne and a variety of cocktails to accompany their meal.

When Mohammed Hussain, Varanasi’s Operations Director, received a phone call earlier in the day telling him that the Hollywood actor wanted to come down, he immediately felt it was a “wind-up.”

Depp charmed Mr Hussain, who described him as “a very lovely, down to earth bloke who spent a lot of time speaking with the staff, our friends and family, and was happy to pose for pictures with them.”

While he claimed he had been sworn to secrecy about the bill’s actual amount, he verified it was “easily in five figures” and that “money no issue.”

The cost was supposed to have totaled £50,000, according to MailOnline, and Depp was said to have paid the entire amount.

A spokesperson for Johnny Depp has been contacted by The Standard for comment.

The star of Edward Scissor Hands was in Birmingham to support Beck during his performance at Symphony Hall.

After joining him on stage in the Sage Gateshead in the north of England, Glasgow, and London’s Royal Albert Hall, he recently stated they are releasing an album together.

Depp successfully sued ex-wife Heard, 36, for $50 million over an article she wrote in 2018.

Last week, he won a jury trial in Virginia, and a judge ordered Heard to pay Depp $10 million in damages.

Heard has stated that he will appeal the decision.

The jury also found in favour of Heard, who claimed Depp’s lawyer defamed her by calling her assault allegations a fake.

Out of the $100 million she sought in her countersuit against the actor, Heard will earn $2 million.
