After the highly anticipated Marvel series Ms Marvel premiered on June 8, fans flocked to social media to praise the new show. The series already had a large gala of fans pulling for the main character Kamala Khan, played by Iman Vellani, who was directed by an ensemble of filmmakers including Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon.

Meanwhile, the cast of the show, which included Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha, praised the show’s depiction. For those unfamiliar with the series, Marvel’s official summary states, “Marvel Studios’ Ms Marvel is a brand-new original sitcom that follows Kamala Khan, a Muslim American adolescent growing up in Jersey City.

Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an enlarged imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. She is an enthusiastic gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe. Kamala, on the other hand, feels out of place at school and sometimes even at home—until she gains superpowers like the heroes she idolises. Isn’t it true that having superpowers makes life better?”

With only one episode out, several fans have noted that the show is on par with Marvel’s earlier blockbuster WandaVision, which included major actors such as Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
