The artist focused on the words “For all these years you’ve stood with me / God bless, I love you all,” thanking his fans for their love and support.

The 73-year-old sent a statement hours before his operation, which he requires due to a prior accident in his house in 2019.

According to a source close to the artist’s family, the singer will require a “lengthy period of convalescence” following the procedure.

“Ozzy is 73, and any type of operation at that age is tough,” the insider noted. “This is significant.”

“He’s getting the pins in his neck and back adjusted from when he suffered a fall back in 2019,” the person stated.

“He’s been in a lot of agony,” said the source.

“(Ozzy) has a pretty important procedure on Monday, and I have to be there,” Sharon Osbourne revealed earlier on The Talk.

“It’s going to shape the rest of his life,” she continued.
