Waititi’s take on Thor and his heavenly adventures has been hailed all across the world and in private nerd communities. With his first picture in the franchise, Thor: Ragnarok, Waititi wowed audiences with his colorful and witty portrayal of the franchise. Portman, like everyone else, praised the director for his “spontaneity” and vision.
According to Portman, “Taika brings such a sense of fun, mischief, and spontaneity to the set. It was a really joyful environment and we embraced the silly.”
However, the filmmaker who plays Korg in the film stated that Thor’s experience this time around might be stranger than what fans expect. Waititi praised the completion of the film’s principal photography in a recent Instagram post, writing, “Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there’s me and [Chris Hemsworth] who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok I don’t look cool I know that.” “This film is the craziest thing I’ve ever done,” he said, “and I’m honoured to bust my ass and have a nervous breakdown so you all see it in May 2022.”
