Meghan Markle on Supreme Court decision to overrule Roe v. Wade
Meghan Markle discussed the Supreme Court's decision to reverse Roe v. Wade....
Cher wondered what her life would be like if the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Cher has said that when she had a miscarriage when she was young, she was “screaming in pain.”Her late husband, Sonny came home to find her “sobbing and rocking” on the floor. The singer wondered how her life would be different now that the Supreme Court has overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling, which gave women the constitutional right to an abortion.
“When I was young I had 3 miscarriages.1st at 18. I was alone in our house. Son came home and I was sobbing, and rocking on our floor. when I got 2 dr I was screaming in pain,” she wrote on Twitter.“couldn’t even stop in the elevator. dr sent me straight to the hospital, and into the operating room. What would happen 2 me today.”
Cher said that if the Republican party gets more power, the ruling could hurt everyone in America in bad ways.
she stated, “Waita..If senate and congress go to republicans. There will be no abortions or prenatal care in (America).”
“Women will bleed out, & die, while some group of old white republican ‘men’ decides what medical treatment u deserve (sic),” she said.
She said in another tweet, “Politicians in red states care nothing about what happens 2 mothers & babies.”
She kept going on and on about how “Red states r forcing women to b near death before they get any treatment.”“Gop’we got votes 4 keeping women in bondage’.Gop traded women hopes, dreams,& lives 4 (money) & power.”
The 76-year-old singer, who has a 53-year-old son with Sonny and a 46-year-old son with her late ex-husband, Gregg Allmann, is worried that states that want to make abortion illegal will also stop women from going to other places to get the procedure done.
