Emilia Clarke, an English actress had two brain aneurysms, and she recently announced that she is missing some brain tissue.
The Game of Thrones actor talked about his health issues on set of the fantasy show during an interview.
“It was the most excruciating pain,” Clarke said during the interview. “It was incredibly helpful to have ‘Game of Thrones’ sweep me up and give me that purpose.”
The actor previously claimed to undergo two surgeries in 2011 and 2013, but she is now thankful that she can talk normally and have a normal life.
“The amount of my brain that is no longer usable — it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions,” she continued.
The 35-year-old went on, “I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”
Clarke continued, “There’s quite a bit missing which always makes me laugh.”
“Strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second, it’s gone. So the blood finds a different route to get around, but then whatever bit is missing is therefore gone,” she explained.
In the wake of her aneurysms, Clarke developed Aphasia and lost all sense of identity. Yet its duration was brief.
