Olivia Cooke is telling a sad story about her first day on the set of House of the Dragon, which everyone can relate to.
The 28-year-old Ready Player One actress said on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she had a terrible hangover on the first day of filming the Game of Thrones prequel.
“I was really, really, really drunk,” she told Jimmy Kimmel on his show.
Cooke, who plays the older Queen Alicent in “House of the Dragon,” said that she and English comedian Alan Carr started drinking together after she was on his “Life’s a Beach” podcast. “I never do that, but I love Alan Carr, a comedian in England, and he has a podcast,” she said. “He asked me to be on the podcast, and I couldn’t wait!”
“And I didn’t have to be anywhere the next day until 11, so I brought a bottle of wine as a gesture,” she said.
Cooke and Carr started catching up over the bottle of wine after the recording.
“The podcast finished, and we’re just chatting, chatting, chatting. He’s telling me loads of gossip. More wine, more wine, more wine,” Cooke shared.
But, according to the actress, things went from bad to worse after that. “I don’t remember getting home. I remember tilting my head down to put my hair in a ponytail and falling down “she thought back.
In addition to having a hangover the next day, the actress said she also had a chipped tooth.
“The next morning, I woke up with a chipped tooth. Very small crack, but big enough for the tongue to see, “she let out. “And you think, “What did I do?” Before now, no one on set knew.”
Even though Cooke had been drinking a lot the night before, she said her first day on set was still “amazing.”
