Actor R Madhavan continues to enjoy the enormous success of his directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, as fans continue to laud and adore him and the entire cast.  When speaking to media on Wednesday while promoting his upcoming movie Dhokha, Madhavan shared his future intentions for directing. Madhavan claimed that he is concentrating more on his acting career than on directing any movies in the near future.

He stated that he is a “by chance director” and that he has no immediate aspirations to take on the role of director.

I’m a by-chance director, so for me to say that I look forward to directing another picture, it needs to come from my heart or a tale that I relate to, but for the time being, I’m enjoying doing films like this one, for example, Dhokha.

“The audience is mature and extremely demanding in recent times. You take a lot of money from them and they put in a lot of work to come and watch the film and on top of that, if you annoy them, you’re not in a good light then,” he continued.

Along with Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumar, and Khushalii Kumar, Madhavan will be seen in Dhokha.

We questioned him about the genre he would choose if he ever had to direct his co-stars in a movie. “Right now I’m really loving my playing period, but if I get to direct a cast like this, it’ll be a privilege, for sure it’ll be and out and out comedy since we’re a bunch of jokers,” the actor said as he started to laugh.

Dhokha, directed by Kookie Gulati, is billed as a multi-perspective, fast-paced movie about an urban couple that will take viewers on a wild ride through a typical day in the life of the pair.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma, and Vikrant Sharma all collaborated in the production of Dhoka.
