Amanda Gorman poses with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after ‘Archetypes’

Amanda Gorman filmed her encounter with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The 24-year-old poet shared a photo of herself with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Instagram on Wednesday.

“I was thrilled to have the opportunity to speak with The Duchess on her podcast, Archetypes, about the power that women have as changemakers. Thank you very much for inviting me!” Gorman captioned the happy photo taken outside.

Meghan’s latest Archetypes podcast episode, which debuted on Spotify on Tuesday, featured a surprise appearance by the former National Youth Poet Laureate. Meghan hosted a conversation titled “Beyond the Archetype: Human Being” with actress and activist Michaela Jaé Rodriquez and Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell to discuss sexuality, identity, and femininity.

Meghan reflected, saying, “I find it so inspiring to listen to women who are unwavering, not waffling, and confident in the face of whatever obstacles they may have encountered. And I was thinking about how I could just bottle up that feeling, that inspiring feeling of liberation when you let go of all your fears of judgement and sit in your authenticity. When you give yourself permission to be human and to be.” Then she introduced Gorman and her “powerful” poem.

“There is a movement brewing. We are the storm, the very form of change. The way forward isn’t a road we take but a road we make,” Gorman said. “Forged forth by a future that is female. We will not fail, we will not sway/For where there’s will, there’s woman/And where there’s woman, there is forever a way.”

Meghan seemed to be moved by one line in particular, and she thanked the poet, who is well-known for reading at President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

“It tastes great! I mean, guys, did you hear that?’ And where there are women, there is always a way.’ Never were words more true “she said. “Thank you Ms. Amanda Gorman.”

The Spotify page for Archetypes says that the most recent episode is the second-to-last one. The next and last episode of Archetypes is expected to come out next Tuesday.
