‘Halloween Ends’, whose $102.9 million domestic gross recently surpassed $100 million. Even though Halloween may be over, horror films continue to dominate the box office.

Up to this point, the movie has brought in $63.45 million domestically and $39.46 million abroad. All of this is true despite the franchise’s “last feature” receiving a hybrid distribution on Peacock.

Despite the fact that Halloween Ends has become the most contentious movie in this venerable horror franchise, there is no disputing the bloody outcomes.

Ends has reportedly earned a profit despite having a $20–$30 million budget. Even still, compared to its predecessors Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills, which respectively made $259 million and $133 million worldwide, it has the lowest box office earnings of the new Halloween trio.

The hybrid release that harmed Kills was also present. However, Universal and Blumhouse should be happy with this accomplishment in light of the mixed reviews, fan reactions, and the reality that the final movie of a trilogy is rarely the most commercially successful one.

These outcomes serve as another another indication that horror viewers favour the large screen. especially when it comes to Michael Myers and other series stalwarts.

Halloween Ends has joined other slasher movies like Barbarian, Smile, Terrifier 2, and Don’t Worry Darling in keeping the box office afloat while theatres all around the world dealt with the storm of a sparse seasonal release schedule.

Weary horror enthusiasts were persuaded to attend its climax in theatres due to elements such as Halloween Ends’ initial week of IMAX screenings.

Ends might be called a lot of things, but it’s a movie that attempted to innovate on what is perhaps a stale franchise formula.

This movie more closely resembles Halloween III: Season of the Witch than any other Michael Myers instalment in this 44-year-old series, a trait that either won over fans or soon turned them off. In his final movie, David Gordon Green takes big chances by using Michael, Laurie, and the bigger town of Haddonfield as a conduit for evil.

It was a macabre story about how long-lasting trauma may develop into dreadful paranoia and how just thinking about evil affects how we behave on a daily basis. This bloody slasher also gave more attention to Allyson and her romance with Corey, the most recent Halloween addition.

This movie’s singular craziness is held in place by their tragic Romeo and Juliet-style story, which also sets up Laurie and Michael’s satisfying climactic fight. Despite this, the film has a bittersweet story about finding comfort and hope during the most difficult of circumstances.

The majority of viewers saw this intense horror trilogy in cinemas for a variety of reasons, including John Carpenter’s magnificent musical soundtrack, David Gordon Green’s atmospheric directing, or Jamie Lee Curtis’ final attempt at Laurie Strode.

Ends is probably nearing its last significant milestone before it exits theatres and soon becomes available on Blu-ray and VOD, but $100 million is still a respectable amount of money.

Still playing in theatres and available for streaming on Peacock is Halloween Ends.
