In its eighth week, Kantara broke another weekly box office record in India, this time surpassing Gadar’s previous mark of 21 years.

In its eighth week, the movie made approximately Rs. 12.70 crores, surpassing Gadar’s Rs. 7 crores. Beginning with week five, the movie has four weekly records, matching Baahubali 2, which has the first four.

The collection decline from the prior week was the largest in the current run, but it was still less than 50%. The movie’s total box office receipts have topped Rs. 357 crores in India, with an additional Rs. 33 crores coming from abroad, bringing the global total to Rs. 390 crores, roughly. The movie was released digitally yesterday, but there is still enough gas in the tank for it to surpass the 400 crore threshold.

The following table details Kantara’s box office earnings in India:

  • Week One: 26.60 crores of rupees

  • Week Eight: 12.70 crores of rupees
  • Total: Rs. 356.50 billion

Kantara has made approximately Rs. 171 crores in Karnataka so far and is currently only a few lakhs behind KGF 2. The movie will top the box office today, but even if it falls short tonight, it will undoubtedly top the list tomorrow. It was anticipated that it would take some time to surpass KGF 2’s sales in Karnataka, but Kantara surprised everyone by doing so within the same calendar year.

Following is a breakdown of Kantara’s box office receipts by region:
