Vikram Gokhale demonstrating modest but steady recovery, say, hospital authorities

On Friday, hospital staff said that Vikram Gokhale’s health is slowly but steadily getting better. On November 5, health problems sent the 77-year-old actor to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. He was put on a ventilator because his health was so bad.

His blood pressure and heart rate are both stable at the moment. Shirish Yadkikar, a spokesman for the hospital, told the news agency PTI, “Gokhale is showing slow but steady improvement. He is opening his eye and moving his limbs and is likely to be off ventilator support in next 48 hours.”

Earlier, Vikram’s wife, Vrushali Gokhale, said that on Wednesday afternoon, the actor ‘slipped into a coma’ on Wednesday afternoon. She also added that he is suffering from multi-organ failure. “Vikram Gokhale is critical for last 24 hours. Doctors are trying their best. He is not responding to the treatment as expected,” she said in a statement.

As Vikram Gokhale’s health got worse, news of his death started to spread on social media early Thursday morning. Several fans and Bollywood stars, such as Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Anupam Kher, Aly Goni, and Jaaved Jaafery, posted condolences on Twitter.
