On Sunday, December 4, Jane stated to TMZ that the Carter family had no intention of contending for the wealth of her late son. The money will be given to Prince, Aaron’s 12-month-old baby with his former fiancée Melanie Martin, according to his relatives. Shortly after his passing, a source told Us Weekly that the late rapper had no will.

The family doesn’t require the money, according to the matriarch, who believes that Aaron would have wanted everything to go to his kid.

In addition, Jane acknowledged that the family has yet to meet Prince, 30, or Martin and that they intend to do so in the future.

A source exclusively told Us last month that Martin “is going to have her own memorial for Aaron with her family, their son Prince and some of Aaron’s true friends.”

His twin sister Angel Carter will keep the “That’s How I Beat Shaq” performer’s ashes, according to his death certificate. The legal document stated “delayed” rather than listing Aaron’s cause of death. To find out how he died, additional tests are being performed.

Ups & Downs by Aaron Carter revisited The only surviving members of Through the Years Aaron’s family are his mother Jane, his son Prince, and his siblings Virginia, Bobbie Jean, Kaden, and Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter. Robert Carter, their father, passed away in 2017 at the age of 65 following a heart attack.

Days after the former child star’s death, Martin opened up about the future she’d been hoping to have with Aaron. “I was really looking forward to getting married and having more children with him,” Martin told at the time. “I feel like we were very close and I was looking forward to spending the holidays with my family again. I am beyond devastated waiting until I can meet my wonderful soulmate again. We never gave up on our love and I feel like we both couldn’t live without each other.”
