Bridgerton, which debuted its second season in March, was one of those shows. Season 3 of the hit romantic drama based on the Julia Quinn book series is currently in production, with a prequel series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story also on the way. Netflix had an incredible 2022, with many hit shows returning to the delight of many.

As if that wasn’t enough, while fans wait for more information on the upcoming season, Netflix has announced that they will be releasing a vinyl recording of the Season 2 soundtrack, which will have you dancing all night.

The two-disc vinyl set contains 29 songs: 10 on disc one and 19 on disc two. The albums include all of the latest season’s hottest adapted tracks, such as “Dancing On My Own,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Material Girl,” and “Wrecking Ball,” as well as composer Kris Bowers’ original music.

Bridgerton has many incredible aspects, and one of the main reasons for the show’s success is its music. The emotional backbone of this steamy series has been Bowers’ score, as well as the cool classical adaptations of modern songs.

Bridgerton wasn’t the first series or film to try a musical style like that, but it was the first to perfect that formula and never let popular songs distract from the rich love story being told.

Season 2 took the strong foundations of its love story found at the heart of its freshman year romance and pushed the show’s emotional spectrum to an unimaginable level.

While many fans were disappointed to learn that Regé-Jean Page’s Simon would not be returning for Season 2, the love story between Jonathan Bailey’s Anthony and Simone Ashley’s Kate was arguably stronger than Simon and Daphne’s.

Season 2 focused on the raw emotional meaning of two people actually falling in love rather than the cast’s wall-to-wall sex appeal and the act of sex itself.

For Anthony, this meant confronting his traumatic past, and we learned this season why he continues to blame himself for his father’s death.

Bailey’s performance was fantastic in Season 2, and Ashley’s presence was the perfect foil for the obstinate Viscount.

Their banter and chemistry were especially memorable. The pair’s rich arc was simply one of the best written storylines of the year. Their musical connection only added to the emotional power of the story.

Bridgerton’s Season 2 vinyl is now available for $35.49 at Target and Amazon. It’s the ideal gift for any Bridgerton fan or hopeless romantic in your life.
