The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves panel was one of the final ones to be held on the final day of the Brazilian 2022 Comic-Con Experience.

Hugh Grant, Chris Pine, Justice Smith, and Regé-Jean Page were among the majority of the cast who participated in the panel, which also included the filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein as well as producer Jeremy Latcham.

The panellists showed some special clips from the eagerly anticipated film to the audience, but one in particular stood out. Fans of RPG games are well aware that Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a huge movie.

They were unaware that producers Daley and Goldstein also chose to introduce a different group of characters in order to give the adventure some additional flavour. Specifically, the superteam from the animated Dungeons & Dragons TV series!

The video implies that the roles played by Eric, Diana, Hank, Presto, Sheila, and Bobby are just cameo appearances, but they don’t seem gratuitous.

The Bard (Pine), the Paladin (Page), the Sorcerer (Smith), the Barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez), and the Druid (Sophia Lillis) are made to compete in a deadly competition resembling the Hunger Games in a large arena with a maze-like shape.

We quickly learn that there are other groups attempting to navigate the maze, and one of these groups is made up of the recognisable characters from the 90s animated series that we have come to know and love.

Kevin Paul Coates was the creator. The Dungeons & Dragons animated series, created by Dennis Marks and Takashi, only lasted for 27 episodes over three seasons, but that was enough to win over a huge global fan base.

In order to return home after being transported to a different world, a group of young people must complete various tasks, but something always prevents them from doing so.

Additionally, the show is well-known for being cancelled before a final episode was written or produced, which led to a variety of fan theories about how it would end that persist to this day.

Honor in Dungeons & Dragons When their plan to recover a lost artefact fails, an unlikely group is forced to learn how to cooperate with one another in the movie “Among Thieves.”

Given that the RPG game that served as inspiration for the film was the entry point for many people into the geek community, if it performs well at the box office, the film could mark the start of a massive franchise and quickly rise to the top.
