The third season of NBC’s Young Rock will examine young Dwayne’s (Uli Latukefu) journey from the wrestling arena to the big screen. At the height of his WWE success, he made his SNL debut in March 2000 and claimed, “Hollywood came knocking.”

“Some attribute my transfer to Hollywood to Hollywood having its eye on me,” he said.

Dwayne stated saying yes to Lorne Michaels was “one of the simplest yeses” he’s ever spoken. He had one request for the comedian.

“I asked not to be a wrestler in any skits,” the 50-year-old added. “‘I’d want to play as many non-wrestlers as possible since I wrestle every week.'”

Lorne granted the actor permission, and he had “a terrific week of creativity and storytelling,” he added. “I believe it worked out pretty nicely.”

Dwayne learnt from SNL cast mates Will Ferrell, Cheri Oteri, and Chris Kattan, whom he dubbed “a killer’s row on funny performers.”  Dwayne: “I had a blast.” “After that, Hollywood studios asked whether The Rock wanted to make movies.
