Jennifer Lopez says she wants to remake ‘Gigli’
Jennifer Lopez wants to remake Gigli with Ben Affleck. Joe Sabia quizzed...
Jennifer Lopez described their reunion with Ben Affleck as a blessing in a prior interview with a magazine.
In an interview, the Hustlers actress revealed her actual thoughts towards Affleck, stating that she feels “very fortunate” to be with the Batman actor.
The area in Lopez’s home where the interview took place now functions as Affleck’s office when he visits, she told the magazine.
Lopez went on saying: “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.”
Lopez said that enduring the media circus that surrounded their initial relationship — and subsequent breakup — has made them far better equipped to handle life in the public eye this time around.
“We both were like, ‘Wow, we’re so happy and we don’t want any of that to come into play again.’ We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience,” she explained. “We’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We’re so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us.”
The “Marry Me” actress stated that she will “do all in my power” to defend her “happy and loving” relationship with Affleck, 49, because they both hold it in the highest regard. It merits that, without question.”
“I just feel very happy and lucky to be in a relationship that’s happy and loving, and I want to do everything I can to protect that and keep it safe,” she shared.
Lopez, who married Affleck last year following her separation with ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, has twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner — can be challenging, but she added that “love” made it easier.
“I honestly believe that love rules all. Love always conquers everything — relationships, kids, work, work relationships,” she shared.
