The dress worn by Kate Middleton is up for grabs!
PEOPLE has confirmed that the gown that the Princess of Wales, who is 40 years old, wore to the ceremony to award the Earthshot Prize on Friday is available for rent.
Following the conclusion of their trip to the United States, Kate and Prince William made their way to Boston, Massachusetts, to take part in the second annual prize ceremony held at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
In order to maintain consistency with the eco-friendly vibe of the gathering, guests were requested to refrain from purchasing brand-new attire for the occasion, such as dresses or suits.
Kate wore a bright green off-the-shoulder gown designed by Solace London that she rented from HURR, a platform in the United Kingdom that rents out designer dresses. In this dress, she complied with the guidelines for sustainable fashion.
She finished off her ensemble with the piece de resistance: an emerald and diamond choker that had previously been worn by Princess Diana. In addition to that, she wore diamond and emerald halo earrings that had been mounted in platinum by Asprey.
William, who is 40 years old, chose to recycle an old look by donning the same blue velvet blazer that he has worn to previous royal events.
The projects that came out on top in each of Earthshot’s five categories were awarded grants totaling one million dollars to help them achieve their objectives. Mukuru Clean Stoves from Kenya, Kheyti from India, Indigenous Women of the Great Barrier Reef from Australia, Notpla from the United Kingdom, and 44.01 from Oman were declared the winners on Friday night.
The prizes were presented by Rami Malek, an actor who has won an Emmy for his role as a James Bond villain, Catherine O’Hara, a comedian, and Shailene Woodley, an actor who is also an activist.
As she did the year before, Princess Kate was on hand to present one of the prestigious awards, and David Beckham was also on hand to make presentations. Alongside Clara Amfo of BBC Radio 1, actor Daniel Dae Kim served as a co-host for the awards show.
