Emily Reynolds, 12, who lost her father, Sergeant Antony Reynolds, in 2018, said it’s wonderful knowing someone who’s been through the same thing is thinking about them. “He’s not just trying to be sympathetic; he grew up without a father. My pals think it’s fantastic that Prince Harry writes me.”

Ben O’Donnell, who was 9 weeks old when his dad died, said: “Prince Harry has proven he cares before, so it’s nice to hear from him again this Christmas. His efforts show he cares. It’s cool he wore Spider-Man. Perhaps he’ll be Spider-Man.”

Scott called Harry’s support “amazing,” saying that “certain times of the year can be extremely tough” for kids. When Princess Diana died in 1997, Harry was 12.

Scott said, “Christmas is one.” “We have the party to remind members they’re not alone and to help them make friends. Parents/carers can find tools and information to aid their children.”

The Duke of Sussex surprised Diana Award honorees on her 61st birthday this year. “There isn’t a day in the past 25 years that I haven’t thought about the mark she left on me and my brother,” he remarked at the time.

Harry said, “I see her legacy in you.” “Her legacy is a multigenerational Diana Award community. When I meet families, youth, and children from throughout the world, I see her legacy. Every day, I see my mother’s legacy in my children.”
