President Joe Biden greeted Prince William on his recent visit to Boston.

Prince Charles and the president visited the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on Friday.

Where’s your jacket? Biden questioned William when he landed in Boston with only a suit. “Greetings, President!” William laughed as he shook Obama’s hand.

“Good to see you again,” Biden responded.

William’s spokesperson said: “Warm, friendly, and substantial. The president was interested in the Earth shot Prize and its finalists. The prince discussed his long-term Prize goals.”

William praised Biden for attending his grandmother’s funeral in September. “They both loved her,” he added.

Caroline Kennedy (JFK’s daughter) and her children, Jack and Tatiana Schlossberg, greeted the prince and toured the building with him.

Prince William, 40, selected Boston to host the second annual Earth shot Prize Awards Ceremony. The Earth shot Prize intends to encourage innovative ideas to the world’s most serious environmental concerns during the next decade. (The 2022 awards event was announced on the moon landing anniversary, July.)

William examined displays from the Kennedy Administration in the 1960s before the 1969 moon landing.

After the tour, William said: “Ambassador Kennedy, thank you for your hospitality in this historic building. Caroline, we committed to bringing the Earth shot Prize to Boston, the hometown of your father, who inspired our cause. The 2022 winners are our next step. Their answers are game-changing.”

William remarked in a TED Talk last year that humans can create and attain objectives. “John F. Kennedy’s 1961 aim to put a man on the moon within a decade motivated me. It’s called Moonshot. It was insane. First satellite launch. Man on the moon seemed implausible so rapidly.”

Kennedy influenced many “to arrange and assess our talents. In taking that huge leap for humanity, the Moonshot team united millions of people across the globe.”

Prince William says we “enter this new decade knowing it’s the most momentous in history”

“If we don’t act, the harm will be irrevocable,” he added. “And we all feel the impacts now. Not everyone will feel this harm equally. Most vulnerable, least resourced, and least responsible for climate change will be affected.”

Friday night is the MGM Music Hall Earth shot Prize ceremony. Five finalists will win there. They’ll each get $1 million in funding and Earth shot network assistance.

Friday was Kate Middleton’s solo outing. She visited Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child outside Boston. Kate, 40, talked with academics about how improvements in science may help every kid have a bright future.
