In the most recent episode of their podcast, Chrisley Confessions, the longtime couple talked about where they’re putting their attention while they’re going through a hard time. Julie, who is 49 years old, shared a quote by author Priscilla Shirer: “Age doesn’t mean anything. We don’t know when we’re going to die, so we have to live each day as if it’s our last.”

Todd, who is 53, agreed with his wife that “yesterday doesn’t matter.”

“What we have now is today. God owns tomorrow because we don’t know what it will be like “he added.

Then Julie said that God will “call” someone and give them what they need to get through hard times.

“God will tell you to do something, and he will give you the tools you need to do it. “He’ll give you what you need to do it,” Julie said. “Remember that,” Todd added. God will help us do what he calls us to do. He will make sure you have everything you need to finish the journey he set you on.”

Julie said that even though it was “hard” for her to accept that message at first, it was still a very important lesson for her. She then said that “timing” is also an important part of the journey, especially if someone tries to “manipulate the situation or manipulate the timing… to give us the result we think we need,” which she said can get someone into “trouble.”
