Varun Dhawan’s films Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya performed more than projected in 2022. After two successful movies, the Badlapur actor is looking forward to 2023.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, several movies have underperformed. Varun Dhawan has emphasised the importance of strong content.

Varun Dhawan spoke on the stage and talked about why most regional films don’t do well, except for a few like KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara. Varun Dhawan also talked about whether or not remakes of movies do well at the box office.

Dhawan stated, “I loathe the term’regional film,’ yet Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil are receiving so much attention.”

When my dad made movies in the 1990s, almost all of the stories were remakes of Tamil or Telugu movies. We’re talking about it now. But these new versions have always done well. Whether it’s Ghajini or Malayalam movies, where does the writing come from? We’re borrowing those stories.

We haven’t provided our writers the tools and assistance they need to create creative work, he added.
